Salcedo, Ferran Torres and the players to watch at the Under-19 European Championships

The leader of Spain's defence is a player that Pep Guardiola has repeatedly heaped praise upon and recently promoted to his first team.

The Inter youngster is already proving he knows where the net is, scoring 12 goals in 25 games in the Primavera Championship. 

Born in Genoa to Colombian parents, Salcedo debuted for Genoa at the tender age of 15 and moved to San Siro last summer. Still just 17, he is expected to be one of Italy's prime goalscoring threats at the Euros.

The son of former Manchester City favourite Uwe Rosler, Colin has chosen to represent Norway (his mother's country of birth) despite being born in Berlin and representing England at Under-16 level. 

He has been on City's books since the age of 11, but unlike his striker father, Colin excels in the middle of defence, where his strength and reading of the game make him a daunting prospect for opposition forwards.

The term 'potential' perhaps undersells Valencia's gem: he has already arrived in a big way. 

The 19-year-old winger made no less than 37 senior appearances for Los Che in 2018-19, and earned 12th place in NxGn while leading Spain to glory in 2017's U17 Euros.
