  • WHAT HAPPENED?

Wrexham posted a video showing a meeting between Ker, Reynolds and McElhenney to discuss club matters. Ker is the executive director of the club, and was previously recorded telling fans that he would run a marathon to raise funds for the Wrexham Miners Project - an organisation that aims to preserve the area's mining past and act as a community hub. Now, it has been confirmed that he will be donning his running shoes.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Reynolds and McElhenney have already pledged £26,200 each, totalling £52,400. Ker is aiming to raise £100,000 and is, at the time of writing, 58% of the way there, without the donations of the Wrexham owners, which have yet to be recorded.

  • WHAT KER SAID

Ker isn't entirely happy with Wrexham's co-owners, though. After being stitched up by the pair, he wrote on X: "Look, @WrexhamMiners is a brilliant cause, sure, but making me run a marathon is the work of monsters."

    WHAT NEXT?

Ker is training for the marathon now, as evidenced by his posts on his JustGiving page. The Manchester marathon takes place on April 27th 2025, so he has seven months to get into running shape.
