    WHAT HAPPENED?

The ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ documentary, which airs on FX, has aided that cause – with cameras offering a behind the scenes look at events on and off the field. The Red Dragons have enjoyed considerable success under their Hollywood owners, with a record-breaking promotion out of the National League taken in last season.

  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

Reynolds and McElhenney continue to spread the Wrexham word far and wide, with the club now teaming up with the ‘Men in Blazers’ podcast in a bid to further crack America and help audiences in that part of the world to “fall in love” with a team that operates thousands of miles away in the United Kingdom.

    WHAT THEY SAID

McElhenney has said of that partnership: “The team, city and community make it hard not to instantly fall in love with Wrexham AFC. I’m thrilled Men in Blazers and SToK are coming together to give a weekly glimpse of the club to their American audiences, allowing a new group of people to find the joy (and sometimes pain) this team can bring.”

Roger Bennett, co-founder of the Men in Blazers Media Network, added: “Wrexham AFC are the greatest micro-megapower football has ever seen. Through ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ the club has engaged an enormous global audience who have become connected to the team’s journey which has been lived out in a spirit of joy, meaning, and true inclusivity. With ‘This Week in Wrexham’ we hope we tell the story of their current season as it is played out week by week, game by game, emotion by emotion.”

  • DID YOU KNOW?

The Wrexham-Men in Blazers collaboration will deliver the “first weekly stream of content for the American audience, allowing them to connect with the club both on and off the pitch, giving them more reasons to support and build a genuine connection with the club and brand.” In total, 30 weekly episodes will be produced that offer season-long coverage of events in North Wales – with the goal being to “create a platform that gives Wrexham fans around the world a deep emotional connection to both the club and the town that surrounds it.”
