<p>Amorim continues to try and revamp United from their <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/time-finally-runs-out-for-erik-ten-hag-man-utd-set-to-sack-coach-nightmare-start/bltbc78659f6992704c" target="_blank">turgid time under Erik Ten Hag</a> by bringing in specialised members of his coaching staff to work specifically with his defenders, midfielders and forwards. While this may not seem the most groundbreaking idea in modern football, it marks a fundamental shift in coaching methods by Amorim, away from those utilised by his predecessor. Amorim insists that this is inspired by his time as a player where he benefitted most from practical training, rather than extensive video analysis footage, and a more hands-on approach from the coaching staff.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>He said: "I was a football player. Videos more than 12 minutes? Forget it! Because of concentration.</p><p>"Instead of video, we do it like walking – and jogging – it’s a way to do it. Showing some video. Then we have all the staff. For example, Carlos [Fernandes] is with the strikers. They will show individual moments. So, we will try to cope with that. Everyone has a job in the staff and they are more important maybe than me."</p>
