    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Amorim swapped Sporting CP for United earlier this month and has been tasked with clearing up the mess that former manager Erik ten Hag left behind. The 39-year-old has a huge job on his hands but the fact that midfielder Kobbie Mainoo took part in the training session is a good sign after weeks out with a hamstring injury.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

Amorim, who signed a deal to stay at Old Trafford until 2027, took the training session with the likes of first-team players Casemiro and Marcus Rashford. The Portuguese has also had his visa application approved, along with the majority of his backroom staff.
