Real Madrid willing to axe Vinicius Junior! Kylian Mbappe transfer could spell end for Brazilian as Man Utd put on high alert

According toSport, sources indicate that Real Madrid have "already decided" to offload Vinicius in case they manage to get the Paris Saint-Germain forward who remains undecided on his future. After a midfield overhaul with the acquisition of Jude Bellingham last summer, Madrid are eager to bolster their forward line with a global star.

President Florentino Perez reportedly views Mbappe as the club's potential star player from next season onwards, as he does not believe Vinicius has the potential to be the marquee face of Madrid. However, the Brazilian signed a contract extension in October until 2027 and had earlier vowed to continue playing for Los Blancos until returning to boyhood club Flamengo in the twilight of his career.

It has been reported that Mbappe is demanding €70m (£60m/$76m) per year in addition to a transfer bonus of €125m (£107m/$136m) to move to the Spanish capital. However, Real Madrid are not willing to break their wage structure and are ready to offer him €35m (£30m/$38m) annually, which would still make him the highest-paid athlete in the club.

Manchester United are keeping a close watch on the situation and are allegedly willing to fork out £130m ($165m) for the Brazilian. Madrid might be enticed to accept the offer as bringing Mbappe to Santiago Bernabeu would certainly put a dent in their pockets, although him staying at the Parc des Princes has not yet been ruled out.
