Becomes eighth Real Madrid player to get injured
Picked up the problem against Granada
WHAT HAPPENED?
The Spain international right full-back had to be replaced at half-time against Granda as Carlo Ancelotti slotted in Lucas Vazquez in the right-back position.
After carrying out tests, the club, on Monday, confirmed that the player has an injury to the soleus muscle in his left leg. ESPN later reported that Carvajal is likely to be ruled out of action for at least a month.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
With the 31-year-old ruled out of action now, Los Blancos are currently missing as many as eight players due to injuries. They are currently without key players like Luka Modric, Vinicius Jr. and Eder Militao.
Despite injury setbacks, Ancelotti's side will hope to continue their momentum as they are currently tied on points with Girona at the top of the table. They will next take on Real Betis in La Liga on Saturday.
