<p>The <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/real-madrid-stars-eder-militao-and-rodrygo-both-forced-off-in-tears-against-osasuna-as-defender-suffers-potential-repeat-of-nightmare-acl-injury/blt3dfbfe41fddfb822" target="_blank">Brazil international was forced off</a> during <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/real-madrid-player-ratings-vs-osasuna-vinicius-junior-jude-bellingham/blt3e20118451b4e278" target="_blank">Madrid's 4-0 win over Osasuna</a> on Saturday and now the club have confirmed he has suffered an issue in his left leg. Reports suggest the 23-year-old will be out for around five or six weeks, ruling him out of Los Blancos' trip to Liverpool in the Champions League on November 27.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>A statement on the <a href="https://www.realmadrid.com/en-US/news/football/first-team/medical-reports/parte-medico-de-rodrygo-09-11-2024" target="_blank">club's website reads</a>: "Following tests carried out today by the Real Madrid Medical Services on our player Rodrygo, he has been diagnosed with an injury to the rectus abdominis muscle in his left leg. His progress will be monitored."</p>

WHAT REAL MADRID SAID

<p>Madrid are facing something of an injury crisis as David Alaba, <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/dani-carvajal-posts-update-ambulance-horror-injury-real-madrid-villarreal/blt8bba82c79eab7188" target="_blank">Daniel Carvajal</a>, and <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/real-madrid-eder-militao-suffers-acl-injury-second-time-just-over-a-year-surgery-confirmed/blt4553b5c2d90d9e2e" target="_blank">Eder Militao</a> are all out with anterior cruciate ligament problems while goalkeeper Thibaut Courtiois is already sidelined, too. This may be an extra tough season for Carlo Ancelotti's side.</p>

<p>Madrid play six games in just over two weeks between November 24 to December 10. In that run they face Leganes, Getafe, Athletic Club and Girona in La Liga and Liverpool and Atalanta in the Champions League. </p>
