Fan abused both Vinicius and Chukwueze
Separate crimes lead to prison sentence
Also punished with three-year stadium ban
WHAT HAPPENED?
The offender was handed a six-month sentence for abusing Vinicius at a match between Mallorca and Real Madrid on February 5, 2023, and an additional six-month sentence for racially abusing Chukwueze at the same stadium on February 18 that year, in a match between Mallorca and Villareal. On top of that prison time, he has received a three-year Spanish football stadium ban.
An out-of-court settlement was also recently reached for another incident of racial abuse, with fellow Madrid star Aurelien Tchouameni receiving compensation and an official apology from a minor who attacked him at Mallorca's home ground on 13 April.

WHAT NEXT FOR VINICIUS?
The Brazil star continues to be a revelation on the pitch, but he's clearly growing hugely frustrated about the way opposition supporters off the pitch have been treating him. Vinicius recently stated that if Spain's problem with racism persists, the 2030 World Cup should be moved somewhere else.
