'Nuno must be laughing his head off' - Ange Postecoglou brutally mocked after Nottingham Forest throw away lead to lose 3-2 at Championship side Swansea as fans claim City Ground spell has 'disaster written all over it'

In Postecoglou's second game in charge of the club after he was parachuted in to replace the sacked Nuno Espirito Santo, Forest were beaten by lower-league opposition in the Carabao Cup. Having taken a 2-0 lead against Swansea, thanks to an Igor Jesus brace, the Welsh side staged a remarkable fight-back; fellow Australian Cameron Burgess scored in the 68th minute, before Zan Vipotnik equalised in the 93rd. And then, amazingly, on 97 minutes, Burgess completed his brace to send Swansea through. 

Supporters immediately took to social media to take aim at Postecoglou. 

@AlfieHouseEcho said: "I'm a big fan of Ange but when in football does making a decision like this ever work? Early days obviously but Nuno must be laughing his head off."

@JacobHorsfall_ joked: "You can take the Ange out the spurs, but you can’t take the Spurs out the Ange."

@SaintsNewsfeed said: "I’ll say it again how is Ange back in the Premiership ? Worst manager I’ve ever seen."

@Footballtripper said: "2-0 up and lose at Swansea, Ange ball in full flight. Disaster written all over it for Forest.This will not end well."

@BigAngeEra issued a more measured take, writing: "Nah I actually feel for Ange, I know it's at Forest but I can't help but want him to succeed so this is just kind of sad to see icl."

Postecoglou endured a terrible domestic season last term, as Spurs finished 17th. They did also win the Europa League, of course, but the jury is out after the ex-Celtic boss replaced Nuno, the manager who guided the club to a seventh-placed finish last season. 

Forest travel to Turf Moor to face Burnley this weekend. Scott Parker's side also only have one Premier League win to their name thus far this campaign.
