Nightmare for Antony! Man Utd flop show straight red card for reckless challenge and set to be banned for Real Betis' clash with Real Madrid

The Brazilian winger, who has been in excellent form for Betis since joining on loan from Manchester United, was shown a straight red card for a late sliding challenge on Juan Iglesias in second-half stoppage time. With Betis set to meet Carlo Ancelotti's Madrid next week, they will be without their January signing due to suspension.

Antony's reckless moment was the worst possible way to end an otherwise positive display from the Brazil international as he set up Isco for his team's opening goal. His dismissal came so late that Getafe were unable to capitalise on their advantage and Manuel Pellegrini's men held out for a 2-1 win.

The Seville club have won three and drawn two of the six matches they have played with Antony involved, with the 24-year-old scoring three goals and providing two assists. His absence will be a huge blow as they gear up for Madrid's visit.
