WHAT HAPPENED?
Per L’Equipe, the Ligue 1 giants are keen on signing Everton's Maupay on loan as they want the Frenchman to link up with Mason Greenwood in their attack. The 28-year-old is entering the final year of his contract with the Toffees. He had spent the last season on loan at Brentford.

Marseille are in search of attacking options after Faris Moumbagna ruptured his ACL and has been sidelined on a long-term basis. The French club have prepared a shortlist of forwards and Maupay has been placed at the top of the priority list.
