Mexico announce MexTour 2025 fixtures against Switzerland and Türkiye

The Federación Mexicana de Fútbol (FMF) and Soccer United Marketing (SUM) have announced two high-profile friendlies for the Mexican Men's National Team as part of MexTour 2025. Mexico will face Switzerland on June 7 in Salt Lake City, followed by a historic first-ever match against Türkiye on June 10 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

"The Mexican Men’s National Team will play two European opponents this June in the United States as part of the 2025 MexTour, just days before the start of this summer’s Concacaf Gold Cup. The matches will also serve as important preparation for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The Federación Mexicana de Fútbol (FMF) and Soccer United Marketing (SUM) today announced that Mexico will open the 22nd annual MexTour on Saturday, June 7, against Switzerland at Salt Lake City’s Rice-Eccles Stadium on the campus of the University of Utah."

"Following the match in North Carolina, Mexico will begin its title defense in the Concacaf Gold Cup, the region’s confederation championship starting mid-June in the United States. Additional 2025 MexTour matches will be announced at a later date."

These matches represent crucial preparation for Mexico ahead of their CONCACAF Gold Cup title defense and serve as important stepping stones towards the 2026 FIFA World Cup. El Tri have struggled against Switzerland in the past, losing four of their six games, and have won just one. This will, however, be their first game against Turkiye and fans are waiting to see how they fare against the 28th-ranked FIFA team.

Following these friendlies, Mexico will begin their Concacaf Gold Cup title defense in mid-June. The tournament, taking place in the United States, will see El Tri aim to retain their crown as the region's top national team. Additional MexTour 2025 matches are expected to be announced in the coming months, further bolstering Mexico's preparation for both the Gold Cup and the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
