Maya Jama sends kisses from Love Island to Ruben Dias after Portugal's epic penalty shootout win over Spain in UEFA Nations League final

Manchester City defender Dias lined up for his country in a heavyweight clash with their Iberian neighbours at the Allianz Arena in Munich. He saw Portugal fall behind on two occasions in what quickly became an epic encounter between two global giants.

Nuno Mendes and Cristiano Ronaldo restored parity for the Portuguese, as they forced a thrilling contest into extra-time. CR7 only made it to the 88-minute mark before hobbling off with an untimely injury.

He was not required to step up in a penalty shootout, as Portugal converted all five of their efforts and Diogo Costa saved from Spain striker Alvaro Morata. Ronaldo went on to hoist more major silverware aloft.

Dias is now a two-time Nations League winner. Responding to his celebratory post on social media, Jama - who tuned in to watch the game while preparing to kick off the new series of Love Island - sent love hearts and kisses to her Portuguese partner.

While Jama - who is involved with Baller League UK side MVPs United alongside Alisha Lehmann - is settling down for several weeks in the Majorcan sunshine, Dias will enjoy a quick rest before joining City’s squad for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup in the United States.
