  • WHAT HAPPENED?

    The Manchester United loanee has been a fan favourite in the Spanish capital since his move to Spain from the Premier League club. The 22-year-old has garnered a lot of support from Los Azulones as was witnessed by a couple of young fans who approached the forward at the training ground. Greenwood let the youngsters know that he was in a hurry and only signed one jersey before having to head off to a prior commitment.

    Getafe have already made it clear the would like to sign Greenwood permanently from the Red Devils after his loan deal expires at the end of the season. The forward has also reportedly drawn interest from Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona.

    The Englishman will be in action when Getafe take on Sevilla in the Round of 16 of the Copa del Rey on Tuesday. Getafe will be looking to progress into the latter stages of the competition for the first time since their trip into the semi-finals of the competition in 2019.
