Man Utd outcast Jadon Sancho willing to accept MASSIVE pay cut to seal permanent homecoming transfer to Borussia Dortmund

German publication BILD has claimed that Sancho recently communicated with key Dortmund figures Lars Ricken and Sebastian Kehl, expressing a strong desire to rejoin the Bundesliga side. Crucially, he is said to have informed them that he is ready to accept a salary of roughly €8 million (£7m/$9m) per year, about 50 per cent less than what he currently earns at Old Trafford.

Sancho pockets around €16m (£14m/$18m) annually with United. This considerable wage packet has long been seen as one of the major obstacles to any permanent departure from Old Trafford. By slashing his wage expectations, Sancho would be helping Dortmund meet financial fair play demands and transfer budgeting without needing to compromise their overall squad structure.

Sancho’s tenure at United has been far from smooth since his high-profile arrival in 2021. Signed for a fee in the region of £73m ($97m), expectations were sky-high, but the winger has struggled to consistently produce at the level many anticipated. Over the course of three seasons, Sancho managed just 83 appearances across all competitions, scoring only 12 goals.

Despite Sancho's underwhelming years in England, Dortmund remain confident in his ability to recapture the form that once made him one of the Bundesliga’s most exciting talents. However, Dortmund have been cautious about committing to a permanent deal this summer due to the costs involved. They are well aware of United’s reluctance to accept a major financial loss, but Sancho’s decision to slash his wage demands has encouraged the German club to re-enter discussions with greater intent.
