Man Utd's summer shopping has started! Matheus Cunha spotted with pregnant wife at Manchester hotel as Red Devils prepare to unveil Brazil star

After a nightmare 2024-25 campaign, where United finished 15th in the league and failed to secure a Champions League spot, following a loss against Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League final, Ruben Amorim has started working on rebuilding his squad.

The Red Devils have been closely linked with a move for Cunha and the club have reportedly agreed to pay his £62.5 million ($84m) release clause to Wolves. The Brazilian striker was recently spotted at the Lowry hotel in Manchester, which is a few minutes' drive from the club's Carrington training ground. Cunha was pictured leaving the hotel with his pregnant wife Gabriela and their son, according to the Daily Mail.

Cunha enjoyed his most prolific campaign to date last season, finding the back of the net 17 times in 36 appearances across all competitions. That includes 15 goals in the Premier League - more than any United player managed this term.

The Red Devils are currently on vacation after a hectic season and then post-season Asia tour. The squad will reassemble under Amorim in late July before heading back to Asia for the first part of the pre-season training.
