    Amid their disappointing outings in the 2024-25 Premier League campaign, United and City will be looking to rebuild their squad in the summer transfer window and have already started their preparations. A Bola reports that the Premier League giants have shown concrete interest in Sporting CP winger Trincao and are ready for battle in the transfer market.

    Trincao joined Sporting on loan from Barcelona in the summer of 2022 and his transfer was made permanent by the Liga Portugal giants the following year. Then-Sporting manager Ruben Amorim and sporting director Hugo Viana played important roles in signing the attacker from Barcelona. At present, Amorim is managing United while Viana will soon join City as their director of football.
