    THE BIGGER PICTURE

After the triumph at London's Alexandra Palace, Littler expressed his desire to parade the trophy at Old Trafford. He also jokingly said that it was a good thing that he beat compatriot Stephen Bunting in the semi-final, or else the 39-year-old would have taken the trophy to Anfield for Sunday's Premier League clash between Liverpool and United.

  • WHAT LUKE LITTLER SAID

The teenager was asked if he has plans of taking the trophy to Old Trafford at a press conference, to which he replied, "If they allow me to, then I'm sure I'll go to Old Trafford. I'm glad I beat Stephen yesterday because I'm pretty sure he was taking it to Anfield during the weekend!"
