Back in the summer, Saudi giants Al-Hilal came knocking with a jaw-dropping £100 million bid for Fernandes. The proposal sent shockwaves through Old Trafford, but both the club and the Portuguese maestro turned it down. Fernandes made it clear at the time that while he remained loyal, he would not stand in the club’s way if United ever decided it was time to cash in. For now, he’s under contract until 2027, but that long deal might not be enough to fend off renewed interest when the transfer window reopens.
