Liverpool left 'perplexed' by Luis Diaz talk and take strong stance amid interest from Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr and Barcelona

Diaz has reportedly been lined up as a potential replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr, while Barcelona are eager to sign the forward after becoming reliant on Lamine Yamal and Raphinha. However, Liverpool are not looking to sell the Colombia international and have been left "perplexed" by speculation about his future, according to The Times.

While Liverpool are not looking at selling Diaz, there are also no plans currently to enter talks about a contract extension. Diaz's current deal still has two more years left to run, but the Reds do not have any negotiations with the 29-year-old scheduled.

Diaz has insisted he is "really happy" at Liverpool amid talk he could leave this summer. The 28-year-old scored 17 goals in 50 appearances for Liverpool last season as the Reds won the Premier League title during Arne Slot's first season in charge at Anfield.

Diaz is currently focused on international duty with Colombia. The Liverpool star will miss the team's World Cup qualifier against Peru due to suspension but should return against Argentina.
