    WHAT MCALLISTER SAID ABOUT MBAPPE

McAllister, who spent time with the Reds as a player and coach, has told Boylesports – who offer the latest Premier League Betting – of why a deal could be done: "I think clubs like Liverpool should always be there when a world superstar like Kylian Mbappe becomes available. If there's an opportunity there, and if the Mbappe deal is in line with the budgets and how the club is run, then Liverpool should be interested as far as I'm concerned. We'll have to see what happens style-wise. Jurgen Klopp's style is attacking and front-foot, and it would suit Mbappe.

"The world's top five or six clubs will always want to be involved when a player of that calibre becomes available, and Liverpool are a part of that group. Over the last few years, people have been saying that Mbappe's next step was Real Madrid, but the link with Liverpool has also been there. Liverpool were also in the picture when Jude Bellingham was available. I can't see a reason why they couldn't get Mbappe if the deal worked for them."

  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

Mbappe has previously admitted to speaking with Liverpool regarding future plans – as they are his mother’s favourite club – and 2024 could be the year in which he takes on a new challenge outside of his native France.

    WHAT NEXT FOR MBAPPE?

Mbappe is PSG’s all-time leading goalscorer, with 234 efforts to his name, but has seen it suggested that he needs to leave a comfort zone at Parc des Princes in order to follow in the footsteps of former team-mate Lionel Messi as a Ballon d’Or winner and one of the greatest to have ever played the game.
