This follows Crystal Palace’s £15m ($19m) offer earlier in the day, which was also declined. WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Despite the mounting interest, Liverpool’s preference is for Doak to remain at Middlesbrough for the rest of the 2024-25 season. The Anfield club are encouraged by the progress he has made under Michael Carrick’s management and believes that completing the campaign at the Riverside Stadium will benefit his development.</p>

<p>Doak began his career in Scottish football, developing his skills at Celtic before making the move to Liverpool in 2022.
