  • WHAT HAPPENED?

    Emenalo is a highly-rated midfielder who has came through the Chelsea academy and appears to now be in the middle of a tug-of-war between England and the United States over his international future. The 16-year-old has already played for the US Under-17s this year but has now been called up to the England Under-17 squad for Euro 2025 qualifiers later this month, as reported by The Telegraph.

    Emenalo was born in Arizona and is the son of former Chelsea director of football Michael. He's spent most of his career at Chelsea but appears to have a big decision to make regarding his international football. Former Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino has just taken over as the new head coach of the USMNT and will know all about Emenalo from his time at Stamford Bridge.
