    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Yamal has been a revelation for the Blaugrana in the current season as he has already appeared in 40 matches for the club across all competitions, scoring six goals and providing seven assists. His impressive performances for Xavi's side also earned him a maiden national team call-up in September 2023. He went on to become the youngest debutant and the youngest goalscorer in the nation's history.

In early March, Marca reported that Paris Saint-Germain had approached the Catalan club with a verbal offer upwards of €200m (£170m/$218m) for the attacker as they look to replace outgoing Kylian Mbappe. The reigning Spanish champions, however, are unlikely to part ways with their starlet.
