Kevin De Bruyne to follow the Marcus Rashford route? Aston Villa weigh up signing Belgian dynamo on free transfer ahead of imminent Man City exit - as Como eye Dele Alli link-up

Sky Sports claim Villa have held internal discussions about signing the 33-year-old when he becomes a free agent this summer. The report adds that Inter Miami, Chicago Fire, D.C. United, and NYCFC have enquired about the veteran, and Dele Alli's Como side are also keeping tabs on him.

De Bruyne shocked many when he announced he would be leaving City after nearly 10 years at the club. The Premier League champions decided against extending the Belgian international's contract, and now it remains to be seen if he will head to Villa like Manchester United loanee Marcus Rashford or another club entirely this summer.

De Bruyne, who has been advised to join rivals United by Roy Keane, has won a whopping 16 trophies at City, including six Premier League titles and the Champions League.

De Bruyne will hope City, who are third in the Premier League, can reach another FA Cup final when they take on Nottingham Forest at Wembley in the last four of the competition on Sunday.
