During the celebrations when the midfielder was asked for his reactions after the win by club media, Bellingham had a hilarious two-word response of "absolutely lovely", spoken in his version of a northern British accent.

Brazil international Vinicius Junior gave Real Madrid total control of the game with a hat-trick in the first half. The heavyweights of La Liga, led by Rodrygo, continued to score goals, and Barca's suffering increased when Ronald Araujo was sent off 19 minutes from the end of the match in the Catalan giants' crushing 4-1 loss. While Bellingham didn't appear on the scoresheet he played a pivotal part in the game and even received a loud applause from fans when leaving the field.
