  • WHAT LINGARD SAID

Lingard took to his Instagram Story to share a quote originally posted by entrepreneur Steven Bartlett. The quote reads: "You spent most of 2023 in survival mode. Let 2024 be spent in revival mode. It's possible to thrive in the process of getting to where you want to be."

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Lingard has failed trials at West Ham and Saudi Pro League side Al-Ettifaq in recent months, repeatedly due to lack of fitness. Since Christmas he has shared plenty of photos and videos of his grueling training regime in Dubai, which appears to centre heavily around strength and conditioning work.

    WHAT NEXT FOR LINGARD?

Lingard will continue to search for a new club. Whether or not his decision to train in Dubai results in him signing for a team in the Middle East remains to be seen.
