'Honestly, you look AWFUL!' - Jamie Carragher tears apart Micah Richards over fresh haircut as ex-Man City star claims 'I have not been to Turkey'

The return of Champions League football meant CBS were back with their hilarious quartet of Kate Scott, Thierry Henry, Jamie Carragher and Micah Richards. As usual, the four shared some light-hearted jokes ahead of the evening's action and Richards' fresh haircut was the main source of laughter in the studio, with Carragher in particular picking on the ex-Manchester City defender.

Speaking on Richards' haircut, Carragher said: "It doesn't suit you. I'm saying it as a friend. You didn't need to. Honestly, you look awful. You look so cool on the other one, why did you do that? Everything about this man is an act, were you actually a football player? You look like you have a hat on."

When asked by host Scott whether he had been somewhere special for his new trim, Richards replied: "I have not been to Turkey, not a chance, wow, this is a grilling!"

As is always the case, the fun being poked at Richards was being done in good faith. Scott was also eager to get in on the action, adding: "New Year who dis? I like it, nice and crispy, bit shorter." Meanwhile, Henry opted not to say anything but instead let out a few timely gasps as Carragher ripped into his broadcasting partner.

The panel were previewing the evening's action in the Champions League, including Barcelona's trip to Benfica and Atletico Madrid's clash against Bayer Leverkusen.
