  • WHAT HAPPENED?

Inter have been warned of a tactical trap they must avoid at all costs in their Champions League semi-final second leg showdown with Barcelona, with particular emphasis on the threat posed by teenage sensation Yamal. Former AC Milan and Real Madrid manager Capello, in his column for La Gazzetta dello Sport, has claimed that dropping in a low block and sitting back against the likes of the 17-year-old could prove disastrous. Meanwhile, Capello has also thrown his support behind Arsenal, backing Mikel Arteta's side to produce a heroic comeback against Paris Saint-Germain in the other semi-final.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

The first leg between Inter and Barca finished in an exhilarating 3-3 draw at the Montjuic, with Yamal coming up with an absolutely world-class individual goal to single-handedly pull his team back in the contest after they trailed by two early on.

In the other semi-final tie, between Arsenal and PSG, Les Parisiens' front three of Ousmane Dembele, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and Desire Doue dazzled and bamboozled the Gunners' backline, with Dembele scoring the first leg's only goal in the third minute.

  • WHAT CAPELLO SAID ABOUT INTER VS BARCA

Speaking about the game at San Siro, Capello provided his thoughts and warned Inter of avoiding the same mistakes they made against Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals.

"And speaking of good feet, how can we not talk about Lamine Yamal? It will be his first time at San Siro, but don't think that his legs will shake," wrote Capello. "The boy doesn't seem like the type to be too weak-kneed. In fact, between the European Championship, the Champions League and the challenges with Real Madrid, he has already shown that he has the personality of a champion: the more important the event, the higher his level. This is why I hope that, if the match is in the balance, Inter avoid closing up like they did in the last 20 minutes against Bayern: against Lamine it would be suicide."

  • WHAT CAPELLO SAID ABOUT PSG VS ARSENAL

In another section of his column for La Gazzetta, Capello dissected the PSG-Arsenal showdown and urged his readers to not write off the Premier League heavyweights.

"I admit that the first leg in London surprised me: I was convinced that the Gunners' pace would have put the French in serious difficulty and, instead, the match was dominated by the technical cleanliness and dynamism of the team coached by Luis Enrique. Qualification already on the cards, then? I would be cautious. Because Arsenal, who had literally impressed me against Real Madrid, have all the credentials to recover from the 0-1 defeat at the Emirates. I think that last week's match was also influenced by Dembele's early goal, which scared Arsenal: I have rarely seen Arteta's team so blocked and fearful, almost as if they were more concerned with avoiding conceding a second goal on the counterattack than equalising in front of their own fans. In Paris, however, there will be little to do with calculations."
