  • WHAT HAPPENED?

Though Kane racked up the numbers, he ultimately endured a disappointing maiden campaign at Bayern Munich last season as the Bundesliga giants ended up without winning a single trophy. This prompted the management to remove Thomas Tuchel from the helm and bring in former Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany as the club's new head coach.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Under the Belgian, the Bavarian club have already seen a change in form as they have reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League and are six points clear at the top of the Bundesliga table. Kane, who is desperate to win his first major silverware, lauded Kompany's coaching.

  • WHAT HARRY KANE SAID

Speaking to CBS Sports, Kane said: "I've been really impressed with him as a tactical coach. First and foremost, the way we are playing this season with the high press and man-to-man pressure almost and also whip the ball. A lot of ball possession, a lot of intensity, a lot of counter-pressing.

"It's a great way to play, really attacking style. And then also as a person, he is been known as a great leader, whenever he has played. I think he has kind of taken that into his coaching. It doesn't matter who you are in his team. Whether you have played 500 games or you are playing your first game, you will be treated the same."

He added: "He will tell you what you are doing right and what you are doing wrong, and the players respect that. We are trying to improve throughout our whole career, and I thought I have improved in the time we have worked together already and he has added a little bit to my game. That's all you can ask for. I am really enjoying working with him."
