Despite scoring 10 goals in nine matches across all competitions before the Stuttgart clash, the England captain <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/harry-kane-criticism-bayern-munich-vincent-kompany-england-captain-hat-trick-stuttgart/bltb251982efd70d3cf#csca63f25507b7bd2b" target="_blank">faced backlash</a> over going missing in important games, but he responded strongly and silenced many of his critics.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>After a strong return to form, Vincent Kompany's side will now gear up to face Barcelona in the Champions League in midweek. The match will see a reunion of striker Lewandowski and head coach Hansi Flick with the Bavarian giants, and Kane claimed he is looking forward to meeting the Polish forward, who he rates very highly.</p>

It will be a tough fight, but we will take it on."</p>
