  • WHAT HAPPENED?

    The German side welcomed Enzo Maresca's side to the Voith-Arena in the European competition and their fans held up a humorous banner to motive the team with a dig at their opponents.

    The banner read: "Let's get Brexit done. Send Chelsea home tonight".

    They had another that read: "God save the king" in front of a depiction of coach Frank Schmidt wearing a crown.

    Chelsea approached the game with a perfect record in the Conference League, having scored 16 goals as they strolled to victory in their first three matches. However, Heidenheim are in sparkling form, too, having also taken nine points before Thursday's clash.
