Bayern are known for targeting top German talents, and Wirtz is at the top of their transfer wishlist. The Bavarian giants are determined to bring him to the Allianz Arena, potentially as early as next summer, according to Sky Sports.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
While Xavi Simons, currently on loan at RB Leipzig from Paris Saint-Germain, is also being considered as an option, Wirtz remains the primary target. A move in 2025 is becoming more likely, with a transfer fee expected to exceed €100 million (£84m/$110m), making Wirtz one of the most expensive transfers in Bundesliga history. He is currently under contract with Leverkusen until 2027.
In just six Bundesliga matches, Wirtz has already scored four goals and provided one assist, with another two strikes in the Champions League. He has been called up by Julian Nagelsmann for Germany's upcoming Nations League fixtures and will be in action against Bosnia and Herzegovina on October 11.
