    WHAT HAPPENED?

    Pedri joined Barcelona from Las Palmas in the summer of 2020 and on Tuesday he brought up the 100th time he has played at least 45 minutes in a game for the Catalan side. While that may have been a momentous moment for the 21-year-old, the Blaugrana now have to pay his old team a sizeable sum.

    WHY MUST BARCA PAY?

    According to Sport that appearance means Barcelona have to pay another €5m (£4.3m), taking his total fee to €22m (£18.9m). However, the report adds there are no more clauses to pay for the midfielder - although Las Palmas do 'retain a 15% sell-on clause'.

    Pedri became the youngest scorer in Las Palmas' history at 16 years, nine months, and 23 days when he scored against Sporting Gijon in 2019. The Spanish international has made 116 appearances for Barcelona in total, scoring 17 goals.
