Erling Haaland has reportedly knocked down Netflix for a fly-on-the-wall documentary as he is keen on protecting his trade secrets.

Netflix, intrigued by the success of "Quarterback," an eight-episode series released in July 2023, showcasing the lives of three NFL quarterbacks during the 2022 American football season, expressed interest in a similar concept focusing on football strikers. According to Daily Mail, Haaland has turned down the streaming giant for the docuseries which can be regarded as a major setback, considering his status in the Premier League.

Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins and Liverpool's Mohamed Salah have also been approached with the same proposal. However, the players are reportedly yet to get back with a final decision.

Despite their impressive performance on the pitch, with Bukayo Saka leading the club's scoring charts with 13 league goals, the club remains absent from the documentary's radar as of now. The series is anticipated to offer a comprehensive behind-the-scenes look, akin to "Quarterback," providing fans with insights into the lives of prolific strikers.
