    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Chelsea needed a last-minute goal from Pedro Neto to claim all three points and it keeps them within reach of Champions League qualification. The Blues now sit fifth, which is the final Champions League qualification spot. They are level on points with both Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa in sixth and seventh, but have a superior goal difference.

  • WHAT ENZO MARESCA SAID

Maresca told reporters: "Unfortunately it's not a good one, a muscle problem and you can see against Ipswich, second half he was inside, changed the game, today he was inside, changed the game, how important is Malo for us and unfortunately, it looks like a muscle injury."

    WHAT NEXT?

Chelsea's Champions League destiny is in their own hands as they approach the final five games of the season. They will play Everton, Liverpool, Newcastle, Manchester United, and Nottingham Forest before the curtain comes down on the campaign.
