  • WHAT HAPPENED?

ITV have announced their line-up of pundits for the Women's European Championship this summer, with Eniola Aluko included, and Ian Wright excluded. The two were involved in a heated spat earlier this year, when Aluko said Wright "should be aware of" how much work he does in women's football. Wright reacted, and while Aluko attempted to apologise, the former Arsenal and Crystal Palace star refused to accept her apology.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Now, despite ITV backing Wright at the time of his refusal to accept Aluko's apology, the broadcaster have not reached a deal with him to be on their coverage. Aluko will return and will work alongside the likes of USMNT manager Emma Hayes and former England international Karen Carney.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

The Guardian reports that Wright was not left out of the selection because of his feud with Aluko. Wright was a pundit for the majority of England's qualifying campaign, and at the 2023 World Cup.
