    WHAT HAPPENED?

Arsenal were left sweating over the injuries of Saka and Odegaard after their dominant performance against Leeds on Saturday. Odegaard had to be taken off in the 38th minute after being on the receiving end of a challenge from Anton Stach. The tackle looked innocuous but Odegaard winced in pain as he went down before being replaced by Ethan Nwaneri. Saka, on the other hand, was substituted shortly after the break due to a suspected hamstring injury.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Arteta initially feared that Saka and Odegaard would spend a considerable amount of time on the sidelines, but The Times now claims that 'early indications' have shown that the injuries are not as bad as first feared. The Arsenal stars are expected to undergo scans on Sunday, although it is unclear whether they will feature against reigning champions Liverpool next Sunday.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

Saka and Odegaard's knocks initially rocked Arsenal, who are already dealing with Kai Havertz' new injury. The German forward suffered a knee problem during training last week and could spend a prolonged period on the sidelines.
