Cristiano Ronaldo to Wrexham?! Superstar tipped to make blockbuster transfer to Ryan Reynolds & Rob McElhenney's side due to their 'huge profiles' as owners are told 'nothing is impossible'

Ronaldo's move to the Saudi Pro League was thought to be the final stage of his career, but with the Portugal international still going strong at 39, there has been talk of him trying his hand at yet another club.

Since Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney took ownership of Wrexham, the Welsh team have embarked on an ambitious climb up the English football pyramid and have seen their popularity reach a global stage. The Hollywood actors hope to keep growing the club's brand and former France defender Gallas believes signing Ronaldo would help.

"Anything is possible in football in the modern game, it wouldn’t surprise me because money talks and we’ve seen that nothing is impossible these days," he told Prime Casino. "You see young players going to Saudi Arabia when they would’ve have ever left Europe in the past.

"Footballers and football clubs are now obsessed with their brands too and their sponsors, you can make a lot of money and not just from your wages at your club. Now everything is about social media and having millions of followers, both Wrexham and Cristiano Ronaldo have huge profiles so why not.

"Cristiano Ronaldo is more than just a footballer, he’s a product and he’s also still scoring so many goals on the pitch, there will be so many clubs still happy to have him."

After beating Wolves Under-21s in the EFL Trophy on Tuesday, the Red Dragons will be in action again when they face Rotherham on October 19. Ronaldo and Al-Nassr, meanwhile, will be featuring the day before with a game against Al-Shabab.
