Cristiano Ronaldo has two options! Al-Nassr superstar set to make decision on future and could make shock switch in order to play at Club World Cup

Ronaldo raised eyebrows after Al-Nassr's final game of the season by posting a message on Instagram that has been widely interpreted as a farewell to current club Al-Nassr. The Portugal superstar wrote: "This chapter is over. The story? Still being written. Grateful to all."

The 40-year-old now has "two serious options" to consider, according to Foot Mercato. The first is to actually stay at Al-Nassr and sign a new contract at the club. Yet Ronaldo is also wanted by Saudi rivals Al-Hilal who are eager to sign a big-name replacement for Neymar, following his departure in the winter. Al-Hilal could also offer Ronaldo the chance to play at the upcoming Club World Cup which could well tempt the 40-year-old to make the switch.

Al-Hilal have some exciting fixtures to look forward to at the Club World Cup. The Saudi side will kick off their group campaign against Ronaldo's former club Real Madrid and go o to face RB Salzburg and Pachuca.

Speculation over Ronaldo's future is expected to rage until his next move is officially confirmed. In the meantime, he is set to join up with Portugal for a Nations League semi-final tie with Germany.
