Getty/GOALWHAT HAPPENED?
Carvajal was the surprise hero for Real Madrid in their Champions League final win over Borussia Dortmund and the 32-year-old transferred that form to the international stage with Spain during their Euro 2024 triumph in Germany. As such, Joselu believes that Carvajal should be the favourite to win the 2024 Ballon d'Or over the likes of Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Junior and Rodri, who have been picked as the players with the highest odds of winning the prestigious individual award.
(C)GettyImagesWHAT JOSELU SAID
Speaking to AS, Joselu said: "I have always said it, he [Carvajal] is the one who deserves it the most. He has won everything there is to win, scoring goals, being important, MVP in finals (at Wembley)... He would be more than deserved."
