    Liverpool star Jota tragically passed away with his brother Andre Silva last week in a car crash that has prompted an outpouring of grief throughout the football world. Neto and Jota were team-mates at Wolves and with the Portugal national team, with both in the squad that won the Nations League back in June.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

    Neto has helped Chelsea reach the Club World Cup final in the United States, with the Blues most recently beating Fluminense in New York, and the 25-year-old has revealed he wants to win the competition and dedicate the triumph to his friend.

    Neto told reporters: “It’s been really difficult in the last few days and I just want to leave a message that this final is for him and his brother.

    “It’s a really tough time for me, it’s difficult to speak about it and let’s hope I can do it for him.

    “I want to dedicate this final to him and his family and show my support in these difficult times for them.”
