    WHAT HAPPENED?

Charlotte FC is interested in Newcastle's Miguel Almiron, with sources confirming to GOAL that the club has made an initial offer to sign the Paraguayan star. Almiron has been with Newcastle since 2019, and has scored 30 goals in 209 appearances for the Premier League club.

Almiron previously played in MLS with Atlanta United, where he became a star while lifting MLS Cup in 2018. He also has 58 caps for Paraguay and was a member of his country's Copa America squad this summer.
