Casemiro surprisingly claims 2024-25 has been 'one of the most successful seasons of my career' with Real Madrid legend delighted to have 'turned things around' at Man Utd

Casemiro, who won an incredible amount of trophies in Spain with Real Madrid, including five Champions League titles, has rated the 2024-25 campaign as one of the best years of his career. During the January transfer window, the Brazilian was poised to exit Old Trafford after facing immense criticism, but he managed to turn things around and has now become a mainstay in Ruben Amorim's starting lineup.

The veteran midfield star has appeared in 40 matches across all competitions this term and contributed massively towards United reaching the Europa League final. He recently hinted at ending his career at Old Trafford after making a remarkable comeback this season.

Speaking to ESPN, the ex-Madrid star said: "This was one of the seasons I think I feel most proud of myself, because it was a position that it's been a long time since I've been through a moment like this, where the coach doesn't count on you, but you keep working, keep doing things well.

"You can be sure that, of course, you want to win titles, but one of the most successful seasons of my career, without a doubt, was this one. For turning things around, with hard work and dedication."

The Red Devils will aim to win their first trophy in an otherwise miserable season that has seen them fall to 16th in the Premier League table when they take on Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League final on Wednesday.
