Carlos Alcaraz welcomes Real Madrid legend Luka Modric into player's box for Spaniard's Wimbledon semi-final win over Daniil Medvedev

Despite going down in the first set to Medvedev, Alcaraz fought back to win three sets to win 6-7 (1-7), 6-3, 6-4, 6-4. Modric was spotted watching the encounter from the Spaniard's box at Centre Court.

Alcaraz is a Real Madrid fan himself and has been spotted at the Santiago Bernabeu for clashes. He had the pleasure of inviting the Croatian to the crucial clash as he looks to win his fourth grand slam.

A keen football fan, Alcaraz will be keen to wrap up Sunday's final as quickly as possible to ensure he can watch the national team take on England in the final of Euro 2024.

The Spanish tennis star will now take on either Lorenzo Musetti or Novak Djokovic on Sunday. The 21-year-old is already a three-time Grand Slam winner and is aiming to become just the ninth man in the Open era to retain the title at Wimbledon.
