Ben White explains when differences between Arsenal sides of this season and 2022-23 will show in typically blunt interview

The defender had a decent outing in Arsenal's thrilling 4-3 win over Luton Town at Kenilworth Road on Tuesday evening and even provided an assist to Gabriel Jesus for the second goal. However, more than his performance on the pitch, his blunt interview with former Norway star Jan Aage Fjortoft has caught the attention of the fans.

When Fjortoft asked him about Arsenal's persistence and the charatcer that they show while winning late games he said: "Winning in any concept... It's a hard place to come and we've come and got three points which is difficult."

He remained true to his style when asked if it was worrying that Arsenal have looked shaky during set-pieces: "We knew they were going to be a threat from set pieces and we didn't manage to nullify that, but when you win like that it makes up for it."

With the win over Luton Town, Arsenal opened a five-point advantage over Liverpool who are in second place. When asked how the Gunners managed to keep pace with the Reds or Manchester City he said: "It's the same as last year, it's a long, long season, so we're taking it game by game and doing our best."

However, he had saved his best for the last as he came up with an incredible response when asked about the difference between Arsenal this season and last season.

"I guess you'll find out, I suppose," he stated, which stunned Fjortoft.

White will have a prominent role to play in the absence of a few first-team defenders like Takehiro Tomiyasu and Jurrien Timber. He will be back in action when Arsenal will make a trip to Villa Park to lock horns with Unai Emery's side on Saturday in the Premier League.
