Bayern's search for new manager 'in final stages' as club chief responds to claims Zinedine Zidane will replace Thomas Tuchel

Eberl revealed that the Bundesliga giants are on the verge of finalising their new manager who will replace outgoing Thomas Tuchel ahead of the 2024/25 season. He also opened up about the club's link with former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane.

Mundo Deportivo reported on Friday, that the France legend is very close to joining the Bavarian side after reports emerged that Julian Nagelsmann has decided to extend his stay with the Germany national team until 2026.

Speaking to Sky Sports (via Fabrizio Romano), Eberl said, "I can say that our search for a new manager is at the final stages. The coach should speak English, not necessarily German."

When further asked if Zidane can speak English, the Bayern chief replied, "I don’t know if he speaks English."

Harry Kane and his Bayern teammates beat Union Berlin 5-1 on Saturday in the league. They will be next seen in action on April 27 against Eintracht Frankfurt at Allianz Arena.
