‘Persuaded the captain of England to leave England!’ - When Bayern Munich expect to unlock Harry Kane’s ‘full potential’ after seeing ‘world-class’ striker hit 10 goals in 11 games

The Bundesliga champions are patting themselves on the back after persuading “the captain of England to leave England” during the summer transfer window, with a big-money deal completed with Tottenham at the end of a long-running recruitment saga.

Kane has made the expected impact in Germany, as one of the most prolific forwards on the planet, but he is yet to be joined in his new surroundings by his young family and Tuchel is confident that the elite performer will become even better for Bayern once he feels completely comfortable at the Allianz Arena.

Bayern boss Tuchel has told UEFA’s official website of bringing Kane on board: “He's more than talented, he's absolutely world-class. He has talent, ability, aura, personality, modesty, and love and dedication to the game. We persuaded the captain of England to leave England and I think we can pat ourselves on the back for that for a while. He's a huge signing. Harry has made a super start and will get even better the longer he trains with us and once his family arrives too. When he feels at home here, we'll see his full potential.

“He has a massive influence because you can't underestimate the fact that everybody has some influence. He is the first one on the training pitch and has a certain relaxed attitude. He has a certain personality, he loves training. And if you are such a great player, everything that you do has an impact. Everything that you do in the dressing room is observed: how you come across, how open you are, when you go out on to the pitch, how you train. With him everything is exemplary so it's just good to have him here.”

Kane is the all-time leading goalscorer for Spurs and England – with his international tally being taken to 61 through 87 appearances for the Three Lions – and he is hoping that a move to Bayern will allow him to bring a long wait for major silverware to a close.
