Bayern Munich plot summer bids for Bradley Barcola and Nico Williams but transfers for PSG and Athletic Club stars held up by Leroy Sane and Kingsley Coman uncertainty

According to a report by Sky Sport, French winger Barcola is currently at the top of Bayern's list of targets, but PSG are expected to ask for a hefty fee to let the 22-year-old move away from Parc de Princes. In case Bayern fail to land Barcola, they will consider Athletic Club and Spain national team winger Williams as an alternative. However, any move depends on Leroy Sane and Kingsley Coman, whose futures are yet to be clarified.

Bayern are looking for a new left winger and have identified Barcola as their key target. The Frenchman enjoyed a fascinating 2024-25 season where he recorded 21 goals and 19 assists and played a vital role in their domestic and European success. Williams is another name on their list, and he has a release clause of €60 million (£50m/$68m), which is considered a positive for the Bavarians, but his high wage demands between €7-8m net per year might create a roadblock.

Apart from Barcola and Williams, sporting director Max Eberl is also monitoring players like Karou Mitoma, Rafael Leao and Cody Gakpo.

After winning the Bundesliga last month, Bayern will now look forward to their Club World Cup campaign. They will face Auckland City in their opening game on June 15 at the TQL Stadium.
